Ashley is thrilled to be back where it all began. Long before Christ Lutheran became Christ Lincoln, she was baptized, attended preschool, grew up, and was confirmed here. Returning as the Director of Development feels like a true full-circle moment, and she's grateful that God has brought her back to the place where her faith first took root. For more than 17 years, Ashley has worked in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, community engagement, and relationship building. While she's held a variety of roles throughout her career, one thing has never changed-she believes the best part of any job is getting to know people and connecting them to something bigger than themselves. She firmly believes generosity starts with relationships, not fundraising. Ashley is the proud mama of two incredible children, Lexie and Landen, who both attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She'll happily tell anyone they're two of the most amazing human beings she's ever met (yes, she's a little biased), and watching them grow into compassionate, driven adults has been one of her greatest blessings. When she's not building new relationships, you'll likely find her spending time with her boyfriend, Justin. In another fun full-circle story, they were both confirmed at Christ Lutheran during the same year-though somehow managed to wait all these years before finding each other! Together they've also blended a pretty entertaining little dog family. Ashley brought Kevin, a rescued pup with enough personality (and stubbornness) to keep everyone on their toes, while Justin brought Sadie, the sweetest cuddle bug you'll ever meet. Between the two dogs, there's never a dull moment.
Ashley loves hearing people's stories, building authentic relationships, and finding meaningful ways for others to invest in the mission of Christ Lincoln. She is excited to serve this church and school community and looks forward to walking alongside families, members, and supporters together as they continue making an eternal impact.
